Analyst II, Bus Ops

The Business Operations Analyst II will assist in the development, maintenance, and analysis of key mortgage fulfillment operations. The analyst will be vital in providing business customers information for the purposes of day-to-day operations, process efficiency, and making critical business decisions. In addition, the analyst will work with department managers to maintain and optimize the overall health of the company?s data strategies and vision.

Job Description

  • Produce key reporting deliverables (daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly/yearly) for strategic initiatives and operations

  • Lead in the development and analysis of complex business processes

  • Monitor and maintain key department functions which support day-to-day operations and overall department strategy

  • Develop ad-hoc reports, work with the applicable department management and provide context to reports

  • Assist business units with developing business tools and reporting to facilitate an increased level of efficiency

  • Draft policies and procedures for the different department roles and responsibilities

  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned

  • Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization?s desired culture and values

Ideal Candidate will have the following:

  • Strong analytical skill set, technical aptitude, and attention to detail; Knowledge of SQL or similar languages a plus

  • Experience with big data technologies, AWS and SSIS a plus

  • Extensive experience building high-quality reporting and presentations; SSRS and Tableau a plus

  • Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Proven track record of analyzing, improving, and integrating business processes

  • 3+ years in a Financial Services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferred

  • Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and able to work independently

  • Ability to provide timely and accurate information in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, mathematical skills, and sound judgment

  • Strong business acumen and ability to interface with executive management


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
